Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What should you look for before hiring a personal Coach?

A: Hiring a coach Is a personal decision that you should take into account many decisions like the current certifications,  activities, background in sports as an athlete, experience with various levels of athletes, knowledge of equipment, including temperance both in training and tournaments along with coaching styles.

Q: Qualified –VS- Certified what’s the difference?

A: Be wary of free advice from the masses! Many novices, former students of coaches, or individuals involved in your sport believe they are qualified to teach, coach or give advice to those who ask… I have witnessed injury, anxiety, even quitting the sport due to poor instructions from unqualified individuals, be smart and safe by researching your coaching selection for your own piece of mind.

Q: What equipment do you need?

A: Equipment is not a ‘one size fits all decision’, we are all built differently! So, seek out a qualified coach to assist you in your equipment decisions and selections, you will save yourself time and a lot of money. Be wary of the sports salesperson at the local department stores, be wary of catalog ordering without knowing exactly what you are ordering.

Q: How many lessons will you need?

A: Many athletes have coaches working with them throughout their entire careers. Even the likes of your favorite pro athletes from basketball, football, tennis, track and field, and golf have coaches to keep them on track and tuned up to perform their best.

Q: How do I get the most out of my lessons?

A: Be coachable…. Students learn more, advance further faster, and enjoy the experience better when willing to learn. Be passionate about your sport and your learning of new and advanced techniques. Be committed to your training it’s your journey.
